I dont really think terror had anything to do with this. Fact: No group has claimed responsibility. Its not hit the news. So nobodys objectives are achieved.

Do you think that if a little handwritten note showed up at the White House with the message "Welcome to the neighborhood" with a picture of the bombers and a flight itinerary, you would EVER hear about it?

Either way, the terrorists may have learned their lesson that public announcements result in Special Forces soldiers on horseback coming to see you... while perhaps a series of vaugely attributed acts might lead to policy change by sheer politcal fatigue by or current leadership.

This is really a great point. Given that after they knocked down 2 buildings in NYC we invaded 2 countries and killed 1,000’s of jihadists, why would they want you to know that they just blew up a plane?

But if nobody is terrorised, then can it be terrorism? I know a lot of people have been bereaved, but the general flying public is not particularly worried.I hope the blackbox is found.
