Sorry to say it, but by whom? Sure won't be the US military as long as this bunch is in charge.
I hope (for their own sake) that the Japanese are fast-tracking their own ABM and nuke programs.
Nuclear Japan Will Counter North Korea
Hillary Clinton’s counsel of “showing some patience” with North Korea immediately prior to their successful underground text displayed international diplomacy attachment disorder. She portended U.S. would not hazard nuclear war, just because Japanese cities were incinerated. Therefore, Japan received reinforcement for abandoning the U.S. umbrella, and developing missile defense and nuclear retaliatory capabilities.
Abundant history exists for independent action. Japan initially confirmed U.S. juvenile, ignorant diplomatic attempts when Bill Clinton ignored “face” when concluding a bilateral agreement with North Korea. Effective negotiations required China, Russia, South Korea, and Japan signatures. Bush #2 began six party talks, but undercut a diplomatically rare U.N. assertiveness in Resolutions 1695 and 1718 imposing military and economic sanctions. A new missile launch has now prompted Barak Obama to express displeasure, and to propose drastic cuts in our nuclear arsenal and missile defense program. This country remains mired in failed approaches to a lunatic regime.
Japan should also note Russian and Chinese approaches contradicting expected cynicism and paranoia. North Korea escaped traditional coercion and prejudice through nuclear weapons programs based, not on Russian or Chinese, but Pakistani technology. In response these Asian leaders seem comfortable with a mentally unstable nuclear regime on their borders. Brezhnev or Mao would have dispatched such reckless individuals to cancer wards.
Japan’s national self interest embraces a several thousand year heritage unfathomable to politicians driven by two year election cycles. Japan’s decision to reject U.S. military protection will leave experts astonished with the rapid removal of political, technological, and treaty barriers.

Make me President for only 30 days and I will make this go away. I will make the Iran problem and a few others go away too . I will not fill Gitmo with prisoners and we will not pay so much as a dime to fix anything we are forced to break.
Of course, there will be a few places that folks won’t want to travel to for thousands of years, but there will no longer be any noise coming from them either.
I will make billionaires of the first US crew that comes up with robots to work the USA M/E oil fields. Your oil products will be free by simply presenting a registration card proving that you’re a conservative.
During that 30 days, I will announce that every single illegal alien is required to leave our country and on their own dime. During the second week all remaining adults will be shot on sight. The children will be dropped off at the borders.
Now, I will leave a big mess, but I won’t charge a dime and I won’t steal the White House furniture.
I would also have all of the crooks in DC rounded up and sent to Gitmo to be dealt with at some later date.
I will be changing the phraze of “You’re either with us or against us” to read, “You’re either with us or you no longer exist.”
