Parents? The parents may have the best intentions inthe world, but these kids are taught IN SCHOOL that, sexually, their parents lack accurate information about "sexualities" (plural), are old-fashioned, bigoted, and/or simply don't have a clue.
That’s one thing I won’t stand for, and I don’t care where/who it comes from -
undermining my parental authority with my kids will be met with a (verbal) ass kicking.
I find that the effects are worse when you start teaching “sexualities” at the late middle school/early high school level. Teenagers love to rebel in both physical and intellectual ways. Little children don’t understand sexuality and don’t really care so they ignore the weird stuff for the most part. They just want to finish doing homework and play innocent games.
Children are confused about many things at that early age. Tell them about the dangers of drugs and they think mommy’s an addict for popping an aspirin.
Abstract thought, according to Jean Piaget didn’t begin until the teenage years.
I don’t think children younger then that need to get into specifics.
