New York: Status of Anti-Gun Bills Uncertain as Balance of Power Changes in Albany

Monday, June 08, 2009

Please Continue Checking Your Email and www.NRAILA.org for UpdatesOn Monday, June 8 two Democrats, State Senators Hiram Monserrate (D-Queens) and Pedro Espada (D-Bronx), switched parties to caucus with the Republicans.  This change allows the Republicans to take control of the New York State Senate.

As of now, the legislature is in upheaval and we are unsure of the status of firearm related bills, including the micro-stamping bill (
Senate Bill 4397A).

Please hold your calls and communications to members of the legislature until we have further information.  Until then, keep checking your email and
www.NRAILA.org for updates.

Maybe we can include New Yorkers?

I don't remember giving any authority the right to regulate my gun usage.

Government derives their authority from the people, not government imposing its will upon the people.

5 of the Principles of the GOP:
GOP Principles: 1. Our Liberty is from God, not the government 2. Our Sovereignty is from our Soul, not the soil 3. Our Security is from Strength, not surrender 4. Our Prosperity is from the Private Sector, not the public sector 5. Our Truths are Self-Evident, not relative

Hadn't heard these from Boehner in, forever!
