Cracked the code? Hell, I knew the “code”, I just refused to use it. I am not Muslim, I will not bow to Islam and I will not even pretend I like them or their religion. Call me a racist or bigot or whatever you wish, but I am not interested in cracking that ‘code’.

the Muslim greeting of “Assalum Alaykum” (peace be upon you)

C'mon. Seriously? Muslims have a peace greeting? Must be the book end to "Death to the infidels".

W. was the biggest mistake the Republicans ever made. Better than Zero, sure, but certainly don't want the likes of him around again. Obama is what he is, but W. was the real disaster for America by paving the way for "The One".

I started posting that about two months ago and have gotten slammed for it. I totally agree with you. W's policies were the stepping stones for Obama. Any Marxist would have won based on the direction W led the U.S.

The longer the GOP listens to those Bushbots who cannot be re-programmed the longer it will stay out of power.

The American people are not going to vote for GOP that cannot clearly and directly come to terms with the fact that they supported Bush when they should have opposed them.

This is also while that, although I may agree with what Dick Cheney says, I wish he would go away. It would be better to have someone else getting across is message. If there is no one else, then just let it be. The longer the old Bush team lingers the more of a free ride Obambi will get as Americans are reminded of the previous 8 years.

“I wonder if he could quote as much from the Old and New Testaments?”

Sure he can. From 20 years in Wright’s theology church his favorite verse is:

“GD America.”

Yeah, what ever. We know we can count the the Muslim countries to honor their
agreements, be tolerate of other religions, treat women as full citizens and not
torture prisoners, right?

Sure we can!

History repeats itself. Despite the mythology developed by liberal academia and media, Hoover was not a laissez faire conservative, but a “progressive”, a sort of early version of a RINO. Unlike his predecessors, whether Republicans like Harding or Democrats like Cleveland, Hoover and his administration did not stay out of the financial debacle that followed the Wall Street crash of October 1929. He supported interventionist programs such as the Reconstruction Finance Corporation and high protective tariffs. They didn't work, and Franklin Roosevelt took advantage of the ongoing depression. Interestingly, he campaigned as a Jeffersonian type small government candidate, condemning Hoover's overspending. (Obama is hardly the first President to engage in campaign deception.) Obama and Roosevelt both greatly expanded on the interventionist, socialistic policies of their RINO predecessors, Bush and Hoover.

The support most Republicans gave to the first TARP bailout and Bush administration big government initiative such as "No Child Left Behind", as well as the relative silence of the conservative media on these matters, makes the GOP sound like consummate hypocrites when condemning Democrat overreach. If the GOP runs another moderate or neoconservative hack in 2012, they may lose again even if the economy remains weak because of the Obama administration's tax and spend policies.

The Republican Party needs a serious rebranding as a legitimately small government, pro-market party.

I agree with you, the Congress has to take this guy out pronto but of course that will not happen as most of those clowns are semi traitors too.

Tell me what he gained by admiting the US was partly responsible for a coup in 1953 in Iran? That should be count one of the impeachment trial. Count two should be his hidden birth certificate, college and professional papers. Count three, exceeding the powers granted to the Executive under the Constitution, with knowlege, as even Truman was told by the Supreme Court he could not seize private companies. On and on.

I agree with Rush’s comment recently: Ben laden better get busy if he wants to destroy the US because Obama is way ahead in that process.

Especially after Bush handed the economy over to the Democrats by starting the TARP insane spending spree, and money to save the UAW.

Republicans now, are nothing but scared little boys, standing, shivering in line with their hands open, hoping for a sliver of bread, praying not to get spanked by their Overlords, the Democrats, if they go against the will of Dear Leader.

Anybody checked Drudge...he’s on target this morning with the title “Peace in our time”, a photo of armed jihadists, and a link to this article. Of course, how many of Drudge readers will make the connection to Chamberlain’s quote, that’s hard to say.

What an incredible photo. So I suppose the black headgear and fatigues will now be replaced by halos and white robes?

Wallace, I agree with almost all you said up to the pro market (free?) comment. I think the GOP should consentrate on balanced budgets, individual responsibility, anti bailout, and steer away from comments about being pro market as most of the younger voters who seem to control things these days, don’t have a clue what pro market means as they have been trained to believe that anything without government is against them.

If the GOP does not take a stand, even if it seems at odds with what happened under their watch, against government spending and socialism espoused by the dems, I don’t think it will matter a whit if the train goes off the track here under the dems because their argument will be the GOP was complicit. It would be correct to make that argument. The GOP should begin distancing themselves from the TARP crap as the GOP in the house was against it 100% and the party has never pointed out the dems were in control in both houses since 06 while all the crap hit the fan. The RINOs were in the power in the Senate and Whitehouse in sufficient numbers to undermine the house GOP. Therefore, the GOP needs to look to the house for a candidate in 2012 assuming we still have elections then IMO.

Because of all the RINOs in the GOP, I wish there was another party of note to support, like a conservative party. Alas, we have an entrenched two party system here, the Left and the Left-Lite.

The biggest problem we now face is, they have developed an entire society of “Me-First” Socialists, who are completely expecting and agreeably dependent on Government to take care of their every need.

there is a 10 stage model for human civilization, that begins with tyranny, progresses through, patriotism, revolution, prosperity, spirituality, enlightenment, disillusionment, apathy, dependency and back to tyranny.

Most experts agree that we are currently somewhere between the stages of apathy and dependency. Only one more stage to go.

Well, let’s see WHILE he was on his apology tour we had a haji terrorist kill one of our soldiers ON OUR OWN STREETS!!

So pardon me if I’m not impressed.

IMO, all this will do is embolden our enemies. They don’t want peace. Time will tell, and I wish I were wrong and that Obama’s kiss-and-make-nice approach were a viable solution, but until I see that happen I consider his statements foolish and inaccurate.

What I find laughable is that now terrorist threats show desperation, and are a sign of Obama’s smooth words cutting a swath in in Al-Quaeda. What is the logic behind this assumption? Have rank-and-file terrorists laid down their beheading knives and bomb belts in the thousands after hearing Obama grovel? Have the financiers realized their error and now give their money to hospitals and orphanages? Have the mullahs who screamed for blood now exhorted their congregations to live with peace and love with their Christian and Jewish neighbors?

What supports this assertion? No real change like this has occurred. It is only the leftists’ self-righteous hatred of valor and courage in defense on one’s home and their faith in their false narrative that calls the US an oppressor and the killers of defenseless schoolgirls freedom fighters.
