You know he’s not, Corin. Does it really help the ticket to air all the dirty laundry here?
You’ll have to answer your own question since you dumped the laundry basket.
And Muldoon is not Governor material, either. We need a very well-spoken, reliable and predictable candidate for 2013: no more Gilmores.
I am going to thoughtfully reply about my problem with Bolling when we return from the gym and science fair, this evening.
Fair enough.
From the City of Hampton:
Mr. B****,
With the details you have provided I have submitted a complaint to Codes Compliance because political signs are not allowed on the right of way nor on public property, except on election day when such signs are allowed at polling locations.
The complaint # is C09-04648, an inspector will respond within 24-72 hours.
From Hampton University:
Hi Mr. B****,
Greetings from Hampton University. Please contact the McAuliffe campaign office with your concerns. Hampton University is non-profit and does not support any candidates. Also the signs are on city property.

I responded to Hampton with a copy of the City Of Hampton's reply to me. I asked that the university inform the students that political signs aren't allowed on city property.
Bolling is a good, solid conservative and he has proven that running on a conservative ticket works.
However, for the job of Governor, his country boy background with a conservative platform will play out as “stupid” to the snob elite in NoVA. People are willing to place a good, solid, common sense kind of guy in the Lt. Gov slot, but not so for leader of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
The gubernatorial candidate needs to be worldly, polished, snobby and — preferably — have an impeccable moral record. If the electorate has to sacrifice any one of these traits, they are willing to let morality go first. Worldly, polished and snobby matter more than morality IN THEIR MINDS. The proof of this can be seen in the current trends in general elections.
Why does morality and an impeccable moral record matter less with each passing year? Simple. Anyone with a solid moral record is seen increasingly as either naive or as secretive.
Running on a conservative platform would play well to the voters of VA, but it can only come from a candidate with a wealth of worldly experience, a diverse friend group, solid networking in both parties and a diverse educational background.
“I can see Russia from my house.” may play well in Alaska, but in NoVA, this perspective is political suicide. The Republican party is always five or ten years behind the social drift in this country, and rallying support for Bolling in 2013 is typical of their obliviousness to current social trends.
I’m on a quick break in a meeting so I don’t have time to respond in full, but that has to be the most ridiculous “argument” against a candidate I’ve ever heard. Bolling will have had 8 years as LG by then to prove himself. He doesn’t have the accent issue that plagued Jerry Kilgore.
And for cryin’ out loud, go look up the recent Dem primary polls. The country boy, Creigh Deeds, is soaring to the lead over the NOVA boys.
Why take the risk when there are better candidates?
Why trash him now when he’s our candidate for Lt. Governor? You want to talk better candidates? Talk ‘em up in 2013.
Right now our job is getting him reelected. And electing McDonnell and Cuccinelli to go with him.
