Good idea! There are only a handful of republicans I can stand and it's always such a surprise when I first hear about them.

It's strange that the party has given up on Reagan/traditional stances on issues from when polls show a small majority of Americans have those same views.

Nope he wasn’t I just asked my husband. Ridge replaced that squiggly little guy Chernoff under Bush. I didn’t like him either. Both came off to me like little liberals, no spines, do not trust, in other words a Democrat. Just like Hank Paulson under Bush who I never liked either who came across as a liberal and what do you know He was a big Fat Democrat!

#1 Cheney was scheduled long before the masquerader was.
#2 Cheney calling all the cock roaches that call themselves Republicans out of their hidey holes. They are exposed for what they are.....faux Republicans for they don't support our Republic or it's people.

One thing the Democrats has learned to do is pose as Republicans to get the jobs so they can muddy the waters to split the party. Now that the conservative people are on to their tricks we need list and need to start talking to each other in neighborhoods and etc. to point out who is conservative and who is not!

Once the Democrats start planting the idea of, “The Conservatives should leave the Republican party”, then the Democrats have succeeded on having an edge up on the Republican party by splitting it!

The democrats greatest fear ----> Conservatives

. Once the Conservatives are gone, the nation easily becomes socialist road kill.

“America was less safe from terrorism after Mr Obama’s decision to abandon violent interrogation methods and close Guantanamo.”

‘violent interrogation methods’
+++++++++++++

Applied sparingly (judiciously) and under a doctor’s supervision and to great result. Those 3 people that this was applied to are all fine just after this happens. HOW IS THIS VIOLENT?

Anybody that does NOT like what Cheney said can kiss my big, fat, conservative butt! Cheney is right on the money with this, and he's doing now what Bush and the administration should have been doing the last 8 years. Standing up and showing some spine.

The good thing about these spineless RINOs speaking out is that we now know, in no uncertain terms, who they are. They are the ones that are ruining the party.

Quisling! Someone who is in the group and gives aid and comfort to the enemy. That name is as popular as the name Hitler is in Norway!

I cast my vote for Mitt Romney in the 2008 Florida primary. I ended up voting for McCain in the general. I was wishing to see Cheney and Gingrich on the ticket. Oh, well.

This reminds of how - whenever Christmas and Easter rolls around - the major networks bring out Fr. Richard McBrien (Notre Dame) to explain the “catholic” position - whereby he proceeds to give an extremely anti-catholic position.

Powell, Meghan McCain, John McCain, and now Ridge are the Fr Richard McBriens of the republican party.

For what it’s worth , my opinion is that anyone who doesnt agree with Cheney and what he has said isnt much use to the republican party anyway.

We have to. The GOP doesn’t like conservatives.

Evidence? I am a social conservative who has never been shut out of any debate and I don't feel like a victim. This victimhood mindset is getting old. The GOP is the conservative party--it certainly isn't the Democrat party.

Do I think this is a stupid quote on the part of Ridge? You bet, but I also would not take it for granted this is the complete quote. I'd rather not jump to conclusions.

We have to get over this victim mentality. I can't believe there is any Republican group that does not welcome conservatives. The idea is ridiculous. Conservatives are the Republican party.

“The Republicans have become the cowardice party. I hope they excuse me for no longer supporting them.”

We must fight for the conservative movement outside *and* inside the Republican party. To not do so is irresonsible and disregards history and reality.

In the history of the United States, not a single third party has come close to winning the presidency, only 7 3rd parties have even won a single states electoral votes and only 5 third parties have won even 10% of the vote.

Someone doing all the brave critiquing here show us some strategy forward - other than what I suggest above. I’ll certainly listen, but have heard nothing that makes sense yet.

PS: I am VERY conservative.

“Someone doing all the brave critiquing here show us some strategy forward “

Let me clarify - I’m all for critiquing and calling out RINOs. I’m not for throwing out the baby with the bathwater. Work outside when necessary and inside, vigilantly, to build the conservative movement, win electoral victories and retake the country.

I'm in - call me Independent. (I can't believe I said that, but I am now an Independent.)

“Screw the republicans. I vote conservative.”

Fine. Do you also care about this country? I’m sure the answer is ‘yes, of course.’ Then how will you retake power anytime within the next 50 years, if ever?
