Republicans turn on Dick Cheney over Barack Obama attack
Telegraph UK ^ | 5/23/09 | Leonard Doyle

Posted on 05/23/2009 11:27:00 AM PDT by DogBarkTree

n his audacious attack on a sitting president last week, Mr Cheney declared that America was less safe from terrorism after Mr Obama's decision to abandon violent interrogation methods and close Guantanamo.

But once the cheering had died down on talk radio and cable television, discordant voices emerged from the Right to challenge Mr Cheney's defence of the Bush-era legacy.

"Yeah, I disagree with Dick Cheney," said Tom Ridge, who was appointed by the Bush-Cheney administration to set up and run the Department of Homeland Security in the wake of the 2001 terrorist attacks on America.

Mr Ridge spoke out after back-to-back "dueling" speeches on national security by Mr Obama and Mr Cheney on Thursday. He took issue with much of what Mr Obama had to say, but particularly disliked Mr Cheney's response.

"It's just the whole notion of a Republican vice president giving a speech after the incumbent Democratic president," Mr Ridge told CNN. "It's gotta go beyond the politics of either party."

Oh, and for the rinos/democRATs/liberals/socialists out there, when we get hit again, 0bama and his administration will own it. Lock, stock and barrel.

I wish the two main conservative radio talk show host, Rush and Hannity would start putting together a RINO list of names for conservatives to vote against for the future.

I mean just start a simple list and update it weekly on the websites so people can go to and copy and really promote a movement to voice their opinions in any form they want against these republican RINOS. It would really start checkmating these pricks!

Cheney should lead the Republicans out of the GOP to a new party—a Conservative Party. Let the RINOs rule what is left of the GOP and see what happens. That or Conservatives need to seize control of the GOP—Next time Run Dick or Liz Cheney for President. Not popular you say? say this after Terrorists blow up some Americans and Obama does nothing. Wait until we have a terrorist attack each week for a few months.

The ultimate goal of the Democrats is to split the Republican party. I say the Conservatives owned the Republcan party and need to rid it of RINOS. Once the Democrats start planting the idea of, “The Conservatives should leave the Republican party”, then the Democrats have succeeded on having an edge up on the Republican party by splitting it!

Good idea! There are only a handful of republicans I can stand and it's always such a surprise when I first hear about them.

It's strange that the party has given up on Reagan/traditional stances on issues from when polls show a small majority of Americans have those same views.

Nope he wasn’t I just asked my husband. Ridge replaced that squiggly little guy Chernoff under Bush. I didn’t like him either. Both came off to me like little liberals, no spines, do not trust, in other words a Democrat. Just like Hank Paulson under Bush who I never liked either who came across as a liberal and what do you know He was a big Fat Democrat!

One thing the Democrats has learned to do is pose as Republicans to get the jobs so they can muddy the waters to split the party. Now that the conservative people are on to their tricks we need list and need to start talking to each other in neighborhoods and etc. to point out who is conservative and who is not!

‘violent interrogation methods’
+++++++++++++

Applied sparingly (judiciously) and under a doctor’s supervision and to great result. Those 3 people that this was applied to are all fine just after this happens. HOW IS THIS VIOLENT?
