Sensitive Data Missing From National Archives
AP via MSNBC ^ | May 20, 2009 | Larry Margasak

WASHINGTON - The National Archives lost a computer hard drive containing massive amounts of sensitive data from the Clinton administration, including Social Security numbers, addresses, and Secret Service and White House operating procedures, congressional officials said Tuesday.

One of former Vice President Al Gore's three daughters is among those whose Social Security numbers were on the drive, but it was not clear which one. Other information includes logs of events, social gatherings and political records.

Archives spokeswoman Susan Cooper said in a written statement that the agency was preparing to notify affected individuals of the breach. The representative of former President Bill Clinton has been notified, but Cooper gave no indication whether the former president's personal information was on the hard drive.

Well, here we go again. I’m sure it was just a misunderstanding or “bureaucratic snafu”. Maybe Sandy Bergler was sleepwalking.

Breach of security, my Aunt Fanny. It had clinton stuff on it. This was no accident.

“Breach?” Yeah right. Sounds more like a clean up operation to me.

It wasn’t me who zapped the sensitive records of who visited who when, in the White House, plus all the phone call records.

I was drinking lots of iced tea that day, and was briefly out of the room when the data was destroyed. Also, I did not know that the envelope the monk handed me had $200,000 that had been collected from the monks who took vows of poverty.

The story makes a big deal out of SSNs but treats the missing records rather lightly.

I wonder how many records dealt with Hsiu (Hillary’s fundraiser, now convicted).

This is a clean up operation. Nobody needs to worry about that “sensitive” information getting “into the wrong hands.” That hard drive has been formatted three times, crushed in a vice and dumped into a river somewhere.

“Breach of security, my Aunt Fanny. It had clinton stuff on it. This was no accident.”

Exactly, what are they trying to cover up....maybe something that as long as Clinton’s information is gone, they can keep it all pointing squarely at Bush! Just remember, Liberals do not play fair!!!!

These rich people disgust me. How many of us "common people" can afford more than one Social Security Number?
