Rawalpindi - May 20, 2009:
1. Security Forces have cleared Sultanwas last night after intense clashes. Reportedly 80 terrorists were killed during clearance of Sultanwas. 6 vehicles of militants which were under use by terrorists clad in black uniform were also destroyed during operation. Security Forces encountered 7 IEDs which were defused. Sultanwas was main stronghold of terrorist-miscreants in Buner, where they have made concrete underground bunkers and ammunition dumps. One soldier embraced Shahadat while 9 others were injured during last 24 hours in various areas of Swat.
2. Piochar. Search and destroy operations continue at Piochar.
3. Matta. Clearance of compounds / Houses in Matta is in progress.
4. Kanju. Search and Cordon operation also continues at Kanju. Three soldiers were injured during cordon and search operation at Kanju and Ayub Bridge.
5. Takhtaband. Clearance operation of Takhtaband village is in progress. One soldier embraced Shahadat while six soldiers were injured.

5 Saudis, 5 Uzbeks, 4 Libyans, 1 Afghan and 20 Tajiks in total. Of these 3 Saudis, 1 Afghan and 1 Libyan were hiding in Burqas.
