WASHINGTON -- A former executive assistant to California Rep. Loretta Sanchez has pleaded guilty to stealing from office funds.

Caroline Valdez admitted in federal court Monday that she used Sanchez's House credit card to buy airline tickets for herself and a family member and get pizza and groceries delivered.

There was a time, long ago, when I kinda liked Loretta Sanchez. She used to be on Fox News a lot then and obviously it was before anything corrupt came out about her.

Loretta Sanchez unseated conservative Bob Dornan for the Rep.seat she currently holds. Dornan contested and charged illegal and corrupt voting practices. Hearings were actually held and I watched some of them. There was no doubt in my mind that Dem voter fraud was rampant. However, the Senator overseeing the hearings was loathe to accept some of the evidence--just couldn't seem to believe it could have been actually stolen. This was between 15 and 20 years ago--anyone remember the time and who held the hearings.I believe it was a Repub. senator in charge.

I imagine ACORN was involved, getting its training and experience doncha know?Now her sister has joined her as a Rep. from a neighboring district.

Thanks, I did a Google on her and she beat Dornan in 1997. That's 12 years ago, a long time.

Perhaps I have her mixed up with someone else in my mind. I had an ‘association’ with Texas and she is California.
