The attempt here, as elsewhere, is to take over the mainline churches and force them into Satan's clutches, thereby pushing real Christianity into "cult" status, so as to marginalize and then outlaw them.
Forcing religions to accept homosexuality is just one more way to depreciate religion by the God-haters.
