...possessing beer in a dry county...Maybe it wasn't the "F" they were interested in. Sounds like there was some "A" involved. And if I had to guess, they may have been looking for smuggled tobacco.

They are a cancer on us. In this case, however, they threatened to bring in the ATF but did not. This was just a local county shakedown. They probably wanted the RV and were hoping there was some pot in it so they could seize it.
