Same pattern. Liberal ruin a state, then flee to a low tax (Red) state after the full force of their policies are enacted. Once there, they breath a sigh of relief and start to feel safe again. Fast forward anywhere from 6 months to 3 years. They look around and start to bemoan the lack of social services while feeling guilty for their newfound prospertiy. And then they slowly start to recreate the hell hole they left behind.
Same pattern with many immigrants.
