“Once again, this might be a cute pic on any other thread.”
Look carefully at the horse...there is DEFINITELY something going on between them.
The problem is people have been letting Homosexuals define the debate, they frame it as “equality”.. when in reality the real question everyone should be asking is WHY THE HELL IS THE GOVERNMENT INTERESTED IN ANYONES PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS AT ALL? Hetero or Homo??? Think about it, what claim does the government have to sanction or care about anyones relationships?????
The reality is they pretty much don’t, the only legal construct on which the government can lay a concern or claim to need to know about the interpersonal relationships of adults is if those relationships produce offspring, which are the next generation of citizens and then the state has at least some sort of interest in that relationship. Homosexuals cannot reproduce by engaging in homosexual activity, so the state certainly has no care about sanctioning their relationships. That’s the begining middle and end of the logical discussion, but of course logic has little to do with anything anymore.
Frankly, I’m married, I’d be married whether the state licensed and sanctioned me or not, my marriage is a covenant before God, not the state. If the state stripped all legal regulations regarding marriage tommorrow I’d still be married. I don’t give a crap about the states legal constructs in this matter, it has nothing to do with why I got or why I am married. Homosexuals can find some fringe religion that will “marry” them all day long, but that’s not what they want, they want the states sanctioning of it, which shows you exactly what this is all about. It has nothing to do with with “love” or “tolerance” or “fairness” or “equality”.
exactly right,as many a demographically challenged country is learning now, paying couples to have children.I agree with you on the other points; how could the government know who's in love and who's not ? It should be able to tell the difference between a man and a woman , however.
A man (in the abstract) and another man (in the abstract) CANNOT EVER engage in sexual intercourse with each other and conceive a child.
The historical expectation and reality is that married heterosexual couples will produce children in most cases;the expectation and reality is that homosexual couples never have produced children.
Without new generations every species of life will become extinct.Groups that fail to reproduce are not generally considered successful. For example, the Shakers odd beliefs doomed their culture;strict homosexuals have a strangely similar belief system,i.e. the other sex is not to be mixed with and is somehow repugnant, thus leaving adoption into the society as the only means of continuation.
Americans have long tolerated a wide range of odd beliefs as long as those groups didn't cause too much trouble for the great majority of society.
But toleration doesn't mean approval;more like slightly exasperated hope that the odd ones will come to their senses, sooner or later, and the understanding that beliefs can't be forced.
