Et Tu Haley?
The idiot also vetoed the state GOP’s legislation that would have prohibited using eminent domain for taxation purposes.
It’s amazing what happens when you go from bomb thrower to being responsible for keeping a state afloat.
Cut Expenses...
It sure is. Why look at “fiscal conservative” Arnold in CA.
RINO Crist allowed $1.38/pack tax in Florida on top of the $.62/pack fed tax. I’m gonna quit somehow. Unintended consequences. No cig sales, no tax going into the coffers. Fug ‘em!
I look at another way.
If he plans to run for the presidency, he may want to undo the damage of having been a tobacco lobbyist. In other words, he is saying he is not in their pocket.
Sorry... but this just makes me angry! I am tired of those that think that proposing taxes on the poor or those that can’t afford it are leaders or anything other than scum!
Yes, this is a sin tax, but only effects the most vulnerable of those that have to pay. Shame on you and your taxes!
Several hundred dollars a year are involved and just who do you think has to pay them? Those that buy those products Senator - I know, you think that you and doing good - good grief!). You are just another idiot in my opinion...
I am so glad I don't have children. The USA is screwed because the Republican party is full of Commies as bad as the democratic party is.
I will see the end of freedom in the USA. They will see the beginning of communism and fascism in the USA.
Pinging for your Miss. Ping List!
If he runs for reelection (if he is eligible, I don't know the term limits situation in Miss), he most certainly will loose. This (and the eminent domain issue) will sink him.
Very very sad. Conservatism seems to be a long lost idea.
Nice to see that someone gets it! Yes, the so-called representative government seems to be whether we either submit or almost submit...geez. Okay, I give up...
Progressive or regressive, I don’t care. Gouging anyone with tax hikes is leftwing crap.
What’s he been smokin’?
I’m a former 2-pack a dayer. You can do it. Just remind youself everytime you light up- “I’m funding SCHIP”.
Our governor, Bobby Jindal, just shot down such a proposal in Louisiana.
With the price of oil going down we are having difficulties ourselves. But he killed it.
price of oil has been steadily climbing the last couple months.
