Aegis destroyers have a draft of about 30 feet or so. Since this is a frigate, I would guess he draft is around 25 feet.

Aegis destroyers make a Great Lakes tour every summer. Draft is 28 feet on the GL...
I ran a bunkering biz in Duluth/Superior and we put fuel on a couple of them. It was an enormous hassle dealing with Defense Fuel Supply Administration. Talk about bureaucracy !
