The American Family Association is now sponsoring Independence Day tea parties in more than 640 U.S. cities in all 50 states.
The Taxed Enough Already, or TEA, parties will be held at 12 p.m. in front of city halls across the nation.
"Our goal is simply to keep the grassroots organizations mobilized," said Michael DePrimo, special counsel to AFA President Tim Wildmon. "We don't want people to think of it as a one-time event and then have it fall by the wayside."
AFA is hosting a Tea Party Day website so volunteer organizers may register their protests.
The group encourages tea party attendees to bring cell phones and call the president, 202-456-1414, and Congress, 202-224-3121, while attending the rallies.
DePrimo told WND the recent Tax Day protests were extremely popular and successful. A new poll reveals many Americans support beliefs of tax protest organizers.

I have been hearing that there is plans for a July 4th tea party in the Hartford area.
The Tea Party Movement needs to roar back, larger than ever for the Fourth. If it diminishes at all the MSM will write it off even further(if that’s possible)and call it over.
I like this turn of phrase. It is obviously just a few consonants removed from "lock and load", which pretty much sums up the situation.
Potential Right-wing Extremist bumper sticker / DHS bait here, I believe.
I’m a firm believer that this needs to be continued however I’m of the opinion that the next rally should be in one or two places instead of 600. My reasoning behind this is that while dispersed as we were its easy for the media to disregard. However if we were all to go the the Mall in Washington D.C. we could show them are numbers to the point that the media would be forced into coverage.
June 6th would be a much better and symbolic day. July 4 will be overshadowed by other celebrations, giving an excuse to the MSM to overlook it. June 6th would have the effect of Americans taking back their country from the foothold of National Socialism. Make no mistake, this is National Socialism.
Just my 2 bits.
Go big or go home
Oh YEAH! This is going to permeate all of the 4th of July. MSM will be going nuts trying to second guess every detail of every event in case it has some "hidden code meaning" that supports the TEA Party! I can see this now,,, Oh NO, do we show this or that? What does that T-shirt mean?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
They don't need an excuse. They just do it.
I’m in. Is there anyone coordinating New Jersey Tea Parties? Email/phone number?
“Im a firm believer that this needs to be continued however Im of the opinion that the next rally should be in one or two places instead of 600”
I agree except hold the rallies:
1) outside of a few congressmen homes
2) In front of CNN and MSNBC
Barney Frank’s home should be top priority.
You just miss the point of the TEA parties, don’t you?
They aren’t a single, nationally organized event produced for media consumption.
They aren’t for a bussed in population of political activists.
This is a grass roots LOCAL movement to involve citizens all over the country.
Which TEA party did you attend?
If anybody wants sign ideas, they used these in Chicago. I don’t think they’d mind their statements getting more coverage.
“PLEASE REDISTRIBUTE MY WORK ETHIC!”
“FROM LITTLE A.C.O.R.N.S MIGHTY MARXISTS GROW”
“HONK IF YOU HAVE VOTER’S REMORSE”
“THE REAL PIRATES ARE THE POLITICIANS IN GOVERNMENT”
“RIGHT WING EXTREMISTS: JEFFERSON, MADISON, ADAMS AND ME!”
“IN GOD WE TRUST - - - IN OBAMA AND CONGRESS NOT SO MUCH”
“OBAMA - PIRATE-IN-CHIEF”
“Make no mistake, this is National Socialism.”
Or International Communism. Or both.
The sign I liked the most, and which I will probably use, is:
“REPUBLICANS SUCK TOO”
Then, hopefully, I can stand in front of the stage this time so I can make my point to any Republican speaker.
Both parties are ruining this country out of greed and corruption.
It has to be local, not national. That’s what brings out people who actually work for a living.
