The progressive-liberal Blog, BlueOregon.com takes on ATR’s Kelly Cobb over a local car rental tax hike for Portland. Cobb uses their left- leaning organizations data to prove “ government can’t grow the economy”

Here in Minneapolis the total bill for a rental car has roughly 1/3 fees and taxes added to the cost of renting the car.

There are about 7 different fees and taxes added to the bill.

The fundamental gist of the article in two sentences:

However, the government itself cannot grow the economy. In other words, it cannot spend what it did not already remove from the economy.

This needs to be emailed and repeated over and over again. Americans have literally forgotten this simple fact.
