Its an incredibly naked admission that Members of Congress abuse the franking privilege for electoral purposes, even though the rules say they dont, said Pete Sepp, spokesman for the National Taxpayers Union. This sends the worst possible message not only to the taxpayers, but to the electoral system as a whole.
The system will fail from the corruption in DC.

In an election year the expenditures increase and then decrease in a non-election year, the request reads. That's because of misappropriation of funds. The culture of corruption.
It is a violation of office to send election materials from your office.

Our government is broken. It no longer works for the people. Unfortunately, thanks to the democrat socialists in power and in the msm propaganda organs, we’ve had our last fair election. As for the GOP, see tagline.

Since these corrupt clowns are *SUPPOSED* to work for the taxpayer, then as their employer, taxpayers should determine their salaries and budgets. Show me a company where the employees determine their own salaries and budgets, and can, at will, give themselves a raise. Show me one, and I’ll show you a company destined for bankruptcy court.
First they stole our money. Next they stole our will to resist. Before they are done, they will steal our souls.

They keep giving Republicans political ammo by the trainload and there's no one with a clue in the party that knows how to use it. There's only one party in charge up there and everything should be pinned on them. It has a cumulative effect and you can't just wait until 3 months before the election to start doing it.
I guess we can expect another "press release" by Boehner from the comfort of his plush office. The Dems would be raking the Pubs over the coals DAILY with this stuff if the situation was reversed.

“But House officials contend that they use the phrase election year without meaning to draw a link to the election. The phrase is generically used to reference the second year of a Congressional cycle, said Jeff Ventura, spokesman for CAO Dan Beard.”
Yeah... I might believe that... for maybe a second.
