I have wondered: How could this mistake have been made? Souter was not a moderate like Kennedy. He was not a moderate liberal like O’Conner during the last years of her term. Except for the first year or two of his term, Souter was a FLAMING liberal. Was any investigation performed?

Was Sunnunu and Rudman that traitorous?

I can understand mistakes such as Kennedy and O’Conner. For the life of me, I cannot understand how Souter was appointed.
