Remember that truly insane insanity that was the Missile Defense Agency's MKV-L (Multiple Kill Vehicle)? The one we saw back in December after it had completed it's first round of test flights? Well, the project -- which sought to cobble together a bunch of missiles using a single booster, producing the ultimate killfest -- has sadly been shelved by a recent spate of projected Pentagon cutbacks for the 2010 US Defence budget. Crazy murderbot, we hardly knew ye, you candle in the wind. Video of it in action after the break [at the link].

and it will cancel funding for a second Airborne Laser (pictured), a Boeing 747 outfitted with a missile-zapping chemical laser. It will also limit the total number of ballistic missile interceptors stationed in Alaska and California.

Ah, the perfict wisdom of The One, the Magic Negro, our Savoir Obama.

Now that those lunatics the North Koreans and the Iranians are with in a few months of fielding nuclear tipped ICBMs we should cut back on anti-missile shield technology.

Only a president of such wisdom as Obama could have decided to do such wondrous things.

Well isn’t this a kick in the crotch. This is going to push the timeline for the machines to take over back a few years.

Seriously, this is too bad, it would have been a very intimidating, effective, soldier-saving weapon. I mean would you want to meet one of these things while scurrying around in a cave tunnel? Yow.

It takes a college education to get this stupid.

Obama is all for creating jobs as long as those jobs don’t involve defending our country.
