O! The horror!

I hear these stories every day. These outfits buy and sell old debt, and alleged debt, whether it’s real or not. A Judge told me that they even sell discharged debt for like $0.035 on the dollar on Wall Street. It’s illegal to collect but many folks pay just to stop the battle.

But there are a lot of neurotic, petty, vindictive “consumers” out there who feel entitled to The Best and intend to get it even if they can’t afford it.

You might benefit from a bankruptcy if only for peace of mind. I won’t give you legal advice for several reasons, but you may benefit by speaking with with a good lawyer. So keep your powder dry and your scouts out; don’t stop contesting erroneous facts.

15 years ago I had an argument with a physician and left telling him I wasn’t going to pay. His diagnosis was “I don’t know”. I said “I don’t pay for ‘I don’t know’” and I stormed out. It was something like a two-three hundred dollar bill. It was turned over to a collection agency.

Over the next 5 years, I paid that bill at least 3 times before I got fed up and started ignoring collection agencies. I swear half of them are flim-flam artists.

I’m not currently being harrassed for hundreds of thousands, or even tens of thousands or even thousands. They are currently harrassing me for less than 500 bucks. So I think it would be stupid to try declaring bankruptcy over that. But I still don’t want to pay these crooks because of my experience of paying bills over and over and still getting more and more collection agencies hounding me FOR THE SAME GODDAM BILL I ALREADY PAID TOO MANY GODDAM TIMES!

They seem to multiply like pornographic pop up windows on your PC. You don’t dare give them any money or word gets out and every one of them on the planet starts sending you invoices for something.

Okay.

I am not a U.S. Marine, either. May God help me.

I think that a Marine would not consult a scientist for a professional opinion and then refuse to pay that physician — even if the diagnosis was uncertain.

I think that a Marine would not fail to pay an honest debt.

I think that a Marine would not complain about his contractual obligation.

Thatt’s what I think about the U.S. Marines.

Hmmm. Could this be hacked? Mess with the libtard neighbors?

You know it can be hacked. Anything that can be put on a car electronically can be worked around. People intending to pay back their loans wouldn't worry about it, people intending to steal the car and not pay for it, will figure out a way around it, then the lenders will make improvements, then the car thieves will break and on and on. Just like those home arrest bracelets and anklets can be gotten around if someone reeally works at it.

I got hit with some ugly bills two years ago and the follow up treatments continued on until about a month ago. I should be all paid up in about a month. But I think I will NEVER stop recieving letters and phone calls from debt collection agencies regarding balances that are obviously fraudulent. I really don’t know what to do about that. In fact I just got off my CELL PHONE 5 minutes ago with a “credit management” firm from OUT OF STATE claiming to have three accounts with my name on them. They didn’t know where I live. They wanted to know my employer and my social security number. The caller ID said “RESTRICTED”.

What you do with bills of that type is tell them to send you a verification of debt. In other words copies of any papers you supposedly signed that make you liable for any debt. Tell them to produce or quit or you will sue them into the next century. They sill stop.

Companies of this type hope you will send one payment and then they can use that as proof that you actually owed the money, otherwise you wouldn't have sent a payment would you?

About as crooked a scheme as a person can come up with but unfortunately the world is full of crooks.

But when a red light on his dashboard starts flashing, Munoz knows he needs to get out his checkbook or else he won't be able to start the SUV.

Soon the light will be flashing if taxes aren't paid - or a vote's missed.

Except the light will be on a wrist band...

God help us if there's ever a totalitarian takeover.
