The fourth-place network, which has struggled to launch new shows, is "doubling down on its scripted commitment," said Ben Silverman, co-chair of NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios.
NBC's announcement jumped the gun on the traditional "upfront week" in which networks present their lineups to the advertisers who make preseason ad buys.

NBC “Infront” 2009/2010 Primetime Sked UPDATE: NBC ‘Cancels Life’, Renews ‘SVU’
What’s NBC?
I agree.
Obama needs to keep up a weekly primetime slot request for a news conference .
It is financially killing the media.
Great, a prime time show by Ron Howard. What’s next, a Michael Moore sitcom?
The only non-sports NBC show I had given a flip about in years and they gave it 3 whole episodes opposite FOX’s Sunday night Animation Domination before pulling the plug. Now technically in hiatus, though it’s gonna be cancelled, we’re not even sure we’ll see the run of season one episodes already done.
Kings was an excellent and nicely done show. A modernized version of the story of Kings Saul and David. NBC stands for “No Body with a Clue”.
I watch “the Office” “Parks and Recreation” and “My Name is Earl”. NBC needs to put Law and Order to sleep, along with it various versions.
Network Tv is so stale and stupid that most nights I put on DVDs of old shows from the 70s and 80s.
Bring back Johnny Gage and Roy DeSoto!
I watch them every weeknight at 10:00 Eastern on RTN (Retro TV Network.)
Kings was nice but Kings got absolutely terrible ratings, like 1/5 the ratings Law and Order reruns had gotten in the same time spot the year before. Can’t really blame NBC for canceling a show with ratings that bad.
Breath taking! (I don’t watch TV anyway)
Here here. Chuck’s a good show. Colonel Casey is the bomb. He shouldn’t soften up on ‘the moron’ either, even if he does know Kung Fu.
I’ll still watch for Fried Egg Nightlights, but I’ll be pissed if Chuck is over. I’ll always blame O’Bama for that stupid presser the week after Chuck 3D.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!
They killed off ‘Life’!!!!!!!!!!
