I have to wait until I’m making a trip or someone visits me to enjoy it. In almost exactly 4 months, I’ll have a case or two, plus a visit from relatives :)

Until then, I’ll have to think about drinking it, and cooking with it. Cheerwine pound cake is the best.

I’d like to see Cheerwine go national, but understand why they might not wish to do so. I’d rather see successful & local than messed up and national.

Looking at what happened to Krispy Kreme after thhttp://www.getsomecheerwine.com/products.htmle expanded, clearly, there can be major problems that can harm the brand/brand image.

I just checked, and it is offered online: http://www.getsomecheerwine.com/products.html but the shipping is very high (more than the soda). Gonna have to wait.

Yea,

Same deal here, I grew up in NC and Cheerwine was always my favorite. I moved up to PA in 86 and when I first moved here NC bottling had some sort of agreement with Coke, or at least on of their bottlers that meant it was available here, if you knew where to look.. Fortunately the 7-11 near my house was one of those places. But that contract ended long ago and its not been available... recently some other new contract or expansion has made it available in some areas of W. PA, but not many... alas I haven’t seen it anywhere I’d call “local” yet.

I too have to wait for visits from relatives of vacations to get a few cases and then savor it like ambrosia.

Yes, it was sad to see what some NY bankers and folks did to another southern institution of my youth. I love KK, but even I could see they were completely over expanding, overselling franchises... just trying to make quick bucks instead of building long term sustainable growth and business.

All I ever hope for with Cheerwine is they stay independent.
