If the Republicans play their cards right, Obamanation will have it’s wings clipped in 2010. I’m just not convinced the Republican party has a clue these days though.

In 2010 it will be 435 House contests, and 33 Senate contests, along with all of the state races.
The candidates will stand usually one against one.
The dems will still be trying to associate the GOP candidate with “the failed Bush years.”
The results will turn on the skill and ability of the GOP candidate to make his/her own case for themselves.
The voters in the district will decide bsed on what they hear, read. (It isn’t likely the RNC will influence them, except by way of fund allocations. An exception would be a particularly strong message, messenger))
Hopefully by then the dems will stumble, and the GOP will get some fresh ammo.
Haley Barbour and Ed Gillespie stood out as good voices, for Republicans. Others awful, Duncan being the last and worst.
Opportunities to speak for the party usually go to the RNC chairman, the Minority leader of the Senate and the Minority leader of the House.
Steele, McConnell, Boehner. Are they good enough to assist the candidate in your district, with hard hitting message?
More importantly, is your candidate?
Finally, some discouraging data.
