Turns out the hockey mom is also a motorcycle maven.

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin recently welcomed the crew from Orange County Choppers – whose custom motorcycle business is featured on TLC's American Chopper – to Anchorage where show star Paul Teutul Sr. researched building a bike to honor Alaska's 50-year anniversary of being a state.

"It means so much to the state of Alaska that these guys are building this bike that will honor statehood here," Palin says in the episode, airing April 30 at 9 p.m.

Paul Sr. hangs out with the Governor in her office and talks about the Alaskan weather, snowmobiling and fishing in the summer. "I inherit whatever [husband] Todd rejects from the year before," Palin says.

He’s a jerk. I can’t stand watching the show specifically because of him.

I can safely assume Paul Sr. is not a whack left radical? Good for him! Didn’t he build a bike for McCain?

It's an inspiration! Look at the lesson...you don't have to be a perfect manager, you don't have to have a perfect company and and you don't have to have a perfect family to succeed in business.

Since moving to Texas, I’ve come to appreciate “King of The Hill”. I finally “get” that show.

Didn’t catch the episode with the Tuetels. Bet it was a good one.

Gonna watch it! Puts a nice positive spin to today’s 100th-day-in-office worship fest.

I’d pay good money to see Paul Sr. and Dog the Bounty Hunter beat each other with flaming weasels.

...you don't have to be a perfect manager, you don't have to have a perfect company and and you don't have to have a perfect family to succeed in business.

A lot of folks who know Paul Sr. from that show don't know that prior to becoming a successful custom motorcycle builder, he ran a very successful steel fabrication business for years and years.

Truth is, Paul Jr. is chiefly responsible for the success of Orange County Choppers. Without the input of his artistry and creativity, Paul Sr. would have had little more than a small shop, building old school choppers.
