With a rubber stamp House and Senate, no Federal Judge’s job will be safe. All Obama will have to do is draw up a list and hand it to Pelosi. She will call for the vote and the House will rubber stamp a boiler plate charge. Then the case goes to the Senate, probably the same day, and Reid will present it to the Senate for confirmation. Quick and easy. And the next day a sympathetic Obama Judge will be nominated and confirmed to the vacancy.
If they wanted to rid themselves of a federal judge they didn't want and that judge refused to step down on his own, they would have to go through an impeachment process. So they would have to concoct some charges that would pass the House and then try the judge in the Senate, where they would have to get a two-thirds majority - which means, given the current party alignment, they would have to get at least seven GOP senators to go along.
As you undoubtedly know, federal judges are appointed for life, or as the Constitution states, they "shall hold their Offices during good Behavior." That means that they must be impeached on charges of other than "good Behavior" in order to be removed involuntarily.
