Yeah, they are. I don’t get it. That would be completely ineffective.

It might be effective to the extent of blocking droplets if someone sneezes or coughs on you, and it will keep you from inadvertently touching your nose or mouth after coming in contact with an infected surface.

Yeah, but a virus is usually only transmitted through the air when it is aerosolized in a sneeze.
