I’m confused, we are immunized against the swine flu? What effect would other immunizations have in protecting someone against the swine flu?

None, there is not immunization that prevents swine flu, but they have mentioned that some flu inoculation may be of some very limited value.

I'm not sure why Americans are not getting severe cases of this flu, except that perhaps authorities were prepared and treated with tamiflu as soon as symptoms started to appear.
