Nice work!

I'm having a week of 'missing out' I found a note on my door that the Census people had come by while I was gone. Rats! I so wanted to ask who hired them......ACORN? That would have been fun.

I also missed out on a call like this from the RNC. Although, to be honest, I'm not sure I'd have been as quick witted as you.

many states have open primaries allowing democrats to vote for our republican candidates.....then during the election go back and vote for the democrat. it is often how rinos get on a ticket as well.

closed primaries would mean you cannot be an independent or democrat and vote in a republican primary.

Yep, he sure did. A full bow to the Saudi king to express his submission.

“No wonder the GOP ended up with McCain.”

Yup. And Bob Dole. Nice guy, but useless. GOP has got to stop being the Good Ol’ Boys Club. They choose a candidate just ‘cause a guy’s been around awhile and paid his dues. We need better than that.

“Cut off the caller before he got into his Obama spiel and hung up.”

Speaking of rants and Obama, I wasn’t kind to the rep at J.C. Penney telling her that we’d no longer be customers since they’re carrying Obama-logo “hope” jewelry now.

Good for you. The GOP needs fixing in a big way. The current GOP is happy to let the Democrats run the show and do all the spending as long as they get their share of the loot.

Collins and Snowe come off looking like mainstream conservatives when compared with their looney tune opponents (even though Collins and Snowe are not conservative).

I live in Maine, too and you're right. I still don't vote for them myself, but a lot of people do for the reason you've given.

I did contribute twice to John Frary's campaign though. :-)

Michael Steele will be at the Wisconsin State convention next weekend in La Crosse. If any Wisconsin-types are attending they may get the opportunity to rant at Steele face-to-face.

this must be how disgraces like Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe, and Lindsey Graham got elected.

I don't know anything about the goober, but I live 13 miles from Maine.

Collins and Snowe got elected, and get re-elected, because they are tolerable to middle and right Democrats and because their opponents have been more-or-less openly communist.

Republican conservatives have the power, if they choose to exercise it, to deny Snowe, Collins, and Specter re-nomination. But they do NOT have the power to elect a Senator.

SO, the choices are (God rest the soul of our great FReeper Common Tator, who would tell you this himself if he could) - the choices in Maine and Pennsylvania are, RINO or communist.

Your call. Choose wisely.

Then I explain that most of the people in Congress, Republicans included, should be in jail for not upholding their sworn oath to uphold the Constitution

When this all goes bad, jail for them will be a luxury we can't afford.

no way Loser McCain, the feeblest candidate since Bob Dole, could have won the nomination if the primaries had been decently run.
The RNC called me, too. I said that the only thing McCain did right was to nominate Sarah Palin - and that McCain would have lost running against my dog - and she's DEAD!

We must have closed primaries. If we don't, we won't have any better candidate in '12 than we did in '08 - and that will mean a conservative second party candidacy.

A conservative party will have closed primaries in 2012 - and if that is the Republican Party, it may - please God, will - win. If not, the Republican party will probably place third - as it did in 1912, losing to both Woodrow Wilson and Theodore Roosevelt.

I declined to donate the last time they called me also. I listened and the message sounded much better. However, as the saying goes, Steele can talk the talk, but I am waiting to see him walk the walk. Until then, no donations.

Got it. That’s how we got stuck with McCain.

"...a 5-10 year battle to make Constitutional amendments that will protect our republic from this and future Congresses that display ineptness and irresponsibility."

I see a little problem. All three branches of gubmint ignore the Constitution now. What good will it do to change it, no matter what the amendments?

I want my country back too, and Hubby and I will be there on July 4.

Good rant. I can barely tell the difference between Rats and RINO’s. In fact, I’m toying with re-registering Independent. The entire cesspool of WA DC and Sacramento is close to making me physically ill.

God help them if they call me.

It must suck to work for the RNC in money collection.
