No, the 9/11 thing was that President Bush stayed airborne on Air Force One for a while after leaving Florida, then landed in Louisiana (Barksdale AFB I think) before heading back to Washington. The moonbats were all over him for not immediately flying back to Washington...this, considering that (a) there were erroneous reports of more aircraft being hijacked, (b) Air Force One can stay aloft indefinitely with aerial refueling, and (c) the plane has virtually the same communication capabilities as the White House. They wanted him to go back to Washington, while all the time praying a plane would hit the White House and kill him. It’s that simple.

What they did with Obama and his people today is SOP. They take the POTUS (and the TOTUS) down to whatever bunker they’ve got under the White House for safety until they’ve got the situation figured out. I’m pretty sure they had to do it with President Bush at least once, because it seems like every year or two, somebody improperly blunders into the restricted airspace over Washington and panic buttons get pushed.

No, ...

My point was that it wasn't EXACTLY like this but similar. Protection of the President during a time of possible attack. OK, fine. But the leftist media will not say a word about this .
