"Even though President Obama has announced that the Justice Department will not prosecute CIA officers who were operating within the four corners of what they'd been told was the law, Lowenthal says members of the CIA are worried. "They feel exposed already, and this is going to increase drumbeat for an investigation or a commission" to explore detainee treatment during the Bush years, he said. "It's going to make it much harder to resist, and they fear they're then going to be thrown over."

Let me know if you'd like on or off the ping list.

It is so obvious that they are controlled by teh Saudis and other Islamic countries. Our soldiers and CIA operatives risk and risked their lives to protect us.

Somebody in the CIA or ex-CIA must have the muslim’s Kenyan BC. Senator Shelby knows people at the NSA and brought it up then stopped talking about it. This fraud needs to be exposed.

Lowenthal said his former colleagues at the CIA were "put off" by President Obama's trip to the CIA earlier this week.

The MSM all said he was greeted like a rock star.

Well maybe they have an ACORN chapter there.

We had a discussion last night with two guys, one trained in intel/counter intel, and another who, while not an Obama supporter, thought this would NOT make a difference in what people in the field did, because they would see the threat as "against their own family" and do it anyway. I think he is wrong. I think these recriminations and threats of legal action DO change behaviors.

You can see that in Marcus Luttrell's book, "Lone Survivor," where the SEALS encounter some goat herders that they are sure will rat them out, but they let them go anyway. ONE of the things they discuss is prosecution later if they just killed them. Sure enough, the goat herders ratted them out, and three of the four SEALS died.

The only “transparency” in the Obama administration is to fully reveal any material that is damaging to the U.S. and helpful to our enemies.

I’m beginning to think more and more that the Obama Administration has in some form or another blackmailed every member of the Congress, thus the absolute silence on the Republican side and the a$$ kissing by the Democrats

What Obama deserves and this country deserves for electing him is MASS RESIGNATIONS at the CIA—jam him up with chronic agency shortage...not that it will really matter as the CIA hasn’t got anything right in a very very long time.

Don’t worry, remember that Obama is going to be attacking Al Queda in Pakistan soon, capturing Osama Bin Laden and finishing AQ off once and for all. /s

I am not sure he would be unhappy about that.

That's what Obama wants.

More specifically, he wants to identify and purge every non-Leftist CIA member, so that the agency will then be entirely in his pocket.

America tried something different last November by electing the first President who was not a patriot, and so it goes.

The partisan advantage to be gained by making the Bush administration look bad is clearly more important than protecting the CIA or the military.

The Constitution forbids Congress to pass any ex post facto laws, but President Obama can make something a crime retroactively.
