Buried deep within the Washington Post’s front-page story on the decision to release the OLC memos, Barack Obama’s motivation gets revealed. Former VP Dick Cheney’s criticism that Obama’s policies had made America less safe apparently stung more than the White House admitted. Unfortunately, Obama may have gone a long way towards proving Cheney’s point in allowing himself to get baited (via Michael Goldfarb):

I'm a long time fan of Cheney. He's a no-nonsense fellow and someone I respect. He, in many way, represents the America I love; outdoorsy, patriotic, smart, funny, down to Earth, rugged, individualistic and proud of his country.

Now we have confirmation that Obama planned this all along as a political attack against a man who hardly matters on the national political scene any longer – or at least he didn’t until Obama decided to pick a fight with him. Just as with his strange attack on Rush Limbaugh, all it did was elevate his opponent and diminish himself.

It appears to this non-psychiatrist, my FRiends, that the Malignant Narcissist will always settle a score.

It apparently doesn’t matter to malignant narcissist Marxist Obama that he gives our enemies useful classified info, or that he publicly potties on the CIA; and, it doesn’t occur to him that he denigrates the office of the presidency with an act that should humiliate a normal-thinking person.

It apparently matters only that he gets even.

We need an investigation of what role political cronies may have played in this decision, when the mighty 0's advisors were near unanimous in their opposition of this.

Is it time for a special prosecutor to look into the influence that organizations such as democrats.org - also George Soros et al - have on the decisions made by the white house?
