Speaking at the RSA computer security conference in San Francisco on Wednesday, acting White House Cyberspace Director Melissa Hathaway announced plans to shift more responsibility for cybersecurity to the White House.
Citing a 60-day review of the U.S. government's cybersecurity efforts, Hathaway said the report, "provides the president with recommendations for a White House organizational structure that can effectively address cyberspace-related issues."

They plan to form a Chinese-style, nation-wide sensor network, where they can serve as the official “Internet Police.”
The cybersecurity lady at the WH wants more oversight....gee. you think?

A WH Cybersecurity czar is a really bad idea. It puts cybersecurity in the hands of partisan politicians. It should be in the NSA in the hands of professionals.

I have no problem with this. By the time they get it into place conservatives will either be in power for the long term or I’ll be living outside the sphere of influence of the White House.
They’ve done so well with guarding DOD secrets that they’ve decided to expand into the private sector... ((s))
