In GA I have always heard it as VII-ina. Stretch the VII and rush the ina. Not bad for a Yankee though :-)

Bonus question, Virginians ineligible
How is Purcellville pronounced ?

Here in NC, it rhymes with hyena, unless you're talking about Vienna Sausages, in which case it's "vie-EEE-nee." One of the better, old neighborhoods in Winston-Salem, Buena Vista, is pronounced "Byoo-na Vista." There's an actual book written on the subject of the correct mispronunciation of South Carolina place names, lol.

Well to be fair, there is Houston Street in Manhattan which is pronounced as How-stin and not Hyew-ston as in Texas.

The county I presently reside in in Georgia is Coweta which most folks pronounce as cow-EE-ta. But some old-timers here say Cah-EE-ta.

Same goes for a nearby town called Senoia. I would say it as Sen-OY-ya, but the two common local pronunciations I’ve heard are Sun-OH-uh or Sun-OY.

You really cannot tell with place-names unless you hear a local say it.
