Mortgage portfolio strategy. Yes, but I’m not sure I’d blame him or anyone else at Freddie for the mortgage strategy. Our government, especially Bush, were the architects of the HUGE risk-taking/pandering 2002 “Ownership Society” that wanted undeserved mortgages for illegal aliens....millions of them. Who in their right mind would accept re-payment/downpayment of a mortgage with Section 8 vouchers? What choice did Freddie have? and then the hypocrisy later to start screaming about the Freddie problems...what did Bush expect would happen?
