THE dread pirate of the high seas shuffled into the court room, standing all of 5-foot-2 and 90 pounds soaking wet. He looked more like an urchin seeking adoption by Madonna than a swashbuckling Somali pirate seeking an American fortune.

Abduwali Abdukhadir Muse, who laughed like a ninny when brought to New York on Monday in handcuffs, sat at the defendant's table, uncuffed. And he proceeded to dig his head into a bandaged hand, sobbing and sniffling like a little girl.

His shoulders trembled and he swatted at his dribbling nose, like a child facing punishment.

US Magistrate Judge Andrew Peck mentioned the little pirate's family, and rumors that the young man was just a minor child. And he cried and cried, as if to prove it.

His taxpayer-paid lawyer, Deirdre von Dornum, several times cautiously patted the man's slender back and asked the judge to "give us a minute."

Whatever. I've dealt with hard-eyed kids smaller and younger than him on the streets of Monrovia, Liberia toting AK-47s. And just like them, God knows how many people this maggot raped and killed up to this point in his young life. He's crying because the party is over. Man enough to hold a gun on somebody? Man enough to stand trial for it.

I’m not so sure that this punk will really get what he deserves...a hanging.

I’m sure since he:
Is just a kid.
Is Black.
Is from a disadvantaged neighborhood.
Has been abused as a little child.
Has not been fed a healthy diet.
Has been yanked away from his mother.
Was shot by mean men from the Navy seals.
Was forced by society to do the deed.
Has mental issues.
And on and on and on............

Don’t be surprised to see him walking the streets in the U.S. after a short stint in the “big house.”

Seems to me he’s like a typical Muslim terrorist wuss. Big man when he’s got the gun, killing the innocents, but a crying baby when challenged.

You need only wait a few weeks. He is in our custody after all. Expect a deluge of stories about how he is a victim, that he and his friends were only trying to protect their fishing rights, that the *evil* Christians...err capitalists have been polluting their coastal waters... etc. They may end by calling for reparations for the Somalis.

I am not exaggerating here. Al Sharpton has already said that we should regard these pirates as a sort of “volunteer coast guard”.
