Opponents say that the measures could result in illegal immigrants taking college slots from legal residents.
Especially if they use affirmative action rules to fill the spots.
Anti-immigrant sentiment is high.
Nice try to spin the argument. It's not immigration that gets my goat, its the damn illegal-immigration.

Illegal aliens break our laws and they are to be rewarded for this? Outrageous. They should be deported. Perks for illegals sends a horrible message to us parents who want our children to respect our laws.
