A summit meeting of Latin American and Caribbean leaders in Trinidad has ended without a consensus on a final declaration.
Thirty-four countries spent two days in talks on the issues facing the continent, but were unable to agree on a clear statement.
In a positive outcome, the United States and Venezuela agreed to work towards improving their frosty relationship.
US President Barack Obama says he feels that many countries in the Americas want a more constructive relationship with the United States.
"I do not see eye to eye with every regional leader on every regional issue and I do not agree with everything that was said at this summit by leaders from other nations," he said.
"But what we showed here is that we can make progress when we're willing to break free from some of the stale debates and old ideologies that have dominated and distorted the debate in this hemisphere for far too long."
Has any POTUS ever uttered such a completely stupid and moronic statement. Who was willing to break free of the stale debates and old ideologies? Ortega railed about 'Yanqui' imperialism for 50 MIUNTES while Barry sat and listened. Chavez gave the Messiah a book detailing the raping and pillaging of Latin America by the US and others. The President of Argentina actually told Obami we should apologize to Cuba and pay them for damages our policies have caused. Not ONE of these pathetic tin pot dictators changed their tune towards the USA one bit. What did change was the fact that instead of calling Obama the 'devil' (as Chavez did Bush), these third world despots made nice with our new President.

It's always "their way". Bipartisanship means giving them their way. We compromise, they get what they want.
With Latin American, it is usually the same way. We compromise, they get what they want. Otherwise, we are not being "constructive".

Most if not all Trinidad and Tobago-Americans know that Chavez has his eye out for Trinidad and Tobago. There’s no coincidence that this Chavez butt love fest is in T&T.
He meets and buddies up with Chavez a day or two after putting out the DHS report that people who attend Tea parties are right wing dangerous extremists.

Obama has already said that he will hand nuclear dominance to the Russians for nothing... (with Ukraine, Georgia, and other things as concessions to Russia for less security here). He even sent Hillary over there with an “Overcharged” button.
