Obama extends hands to Chavez, Ortega at summit

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad – President Barack Obama offered a spirit of cooperation to America's hemispheric neighbors at a summit Saturday, listening to complaints about past U.S. meddling and even reaching out to Venezuela's leftist leader.

Obama, the weenie who won't stand up to any of our enemies and gleefully tells the VFW and American Legion that wounded warriors are going to have to pay for their own healthcare, gets anohter A from the lefties. As usual he fails to take issue with anything they said about the US being the problem.

The puzzling part of this embrace...is that Chavez has manipulated elections and rigged outcomes. A democracy does not look from the distance...and then shake hands with such government.

In the case of both Cuba and Venezuela...if they held fair and open elections...we ought to extend a hand and be a partner. As of yet, neither has shown this ability. So Obama’s handshake is worthless. He’d probably shake hands with Hitler, if he was still alive.
