Saturday May 30, 2009 has been designated National Tea Party Day - follow the link to find protests in your area or help coordinate one.
As we all know yesterday's tea parties were a great sucess across the nation, but we can't stop at just one. For those who keep asking "what else can we do" considering coordinating or attending this Tea Party...
Works for me!

By whom?
I've now seen May 30, July 4, September 12 and October 2.
I've got messages in to Dont Go and Americans for Prosperity encouraging them to coordinate. But if splinter off into dozens of different "National" protests we're going to lose any amount of effectiveness we could have hoped for.
If you're at all connected to any of the leadership in these movements, insist they coordinate with the others.
As Franklin said (and I paraphrase), "If we don't hang together, we shall surely hang separately."
I Second Corin's concern, these parties should be coordinated within each of the groups with no single one taking credit for them.
This is of the People & For the People.
Sept 12th is Beck's baby, that's a given, but the other days should be coordinated - with other grass root rallies not doing different days - it will dilute the American cause.

It’s on the link provided...
American Family Association is putting this one together and is trying to pull together smaller groups around the country to aid in this days protest as well are having one organized database of other proposed protests.
The TEA parties are a solid start (there were about 5,000 in Olympia, WA, where the wife and I were). But we, the people, have to follow up by having Push Back Until events later this year, early next year, and for as long as we have to: http://pushbackuntil.com.
It will not be easy, but how interested are we in saving our country from an irresponsible Congress? If we, the people, do nothing, our country is finished.
Be in D.C. to Push Back Until!
I saw that, but that's not the point. AFA should be coordinating with Don't Go, AFP, Glenn Beck and any other group that had a part in yesterday.
Instead, I'm concerned that all of these groups are going to be doing their own thing.
That's my point.
I would caution against overdoing the tea party idea. If attendance starts to waiver the drive-bys will jump all over it as just a flash-in-the-pan movement. (Would not put it past them to generate additional tea parties just so they could say that). Here in the Pittsburgh area there were 1500 downtown on Wednesday, but another 1000 each in Greensburg and Washington, PA (each less than 35 miles away), plus a couple of thousand at one on the preceding Saturday. In retrospect it may have made more of an impact to have just one big central one with 5000 people. One gigantic, bureaucrat-BVD-soiling March on Washington should be our next move.
Ok, so we do all of them!
You’ll have better attendance if you have fewer tea parties but advertised very well. Also, it’s nice not to have it going on in the middle of a work day. July 4th is a good day. A lot of folks are off work.

The hijacking of the Tea Parties begins and there is no one in charge to stop it.
I agree, my wife, a few friends and I attended a tea party out in Northern Houston (The Woodlands) and it turned out great.
Attendance would have been SO much higher if there were a bit more coordination before hand.
Lotta people I worked with had not heard about the tea parties.
If there are multiple tea parties with little coordination, people are just going to get confused, burn out, or desensitized.
Let's go for July 4th, start it now, promote the ying yang outta it and it'll be successful.
Besides, most of the tea parties were during the work week, around lunch time or 5-6pm when people are caught in rush hour traffic, working overtime, just plain tired.
How bout Saturday, July 4th.
The movement cannot be allowed to splinter!
The thing I watch for is any group pushing a constitutional convention, I can't imagine anything more dangerous to the nation.
Controlled by whom?
By the participants. Everyone just needs to check and confirm that everything is as advertised. Don’t get on a bus unless you know who is driving.
