>>In their minds it gives them providence.<<
If man happened by accident, then any “morals” that are in a man’s mind are irrelevant beyond that mind.
It is one reason we now have “situational” ethics.
No. There are fossils of what some hypothesize to be human ancestors.
More correctly:
Science has nothing to say about the supernatural (or that which transcends sense data.) Theology has nothing to say about scientific knowledge. Unfortunately scientist make statements about theology based on "science" and theologians make statements on science based on "theology".
Both are errors and neither side is immune from them.

Well anyways that is one area where we can agree to disagree, You won’t be convinced of my world view on this unless timetravel is invented, I won’t be convinced on your view unless Jesus comes by and lest me stick my hand into his 2,000 year old chest wound. I will be the Doubting Thomas and you will be the Believer. I enjoy your discourse and I love the opportunity to debate. Just be glad I am not some leftist that uses this debate as an opportunity to make unfounded vicious attacks on your religion. I present my side, you present yours. We go back in forth, I am so happy this didn’t turn into a name calling session like it has in other places I have debated people about other issues dear to my heart.
I hope we can both agree to at least 8 of the 9 principles and all 12 of the ideals. Thanks for the engaging online debate!
Then how do you explain the various ethical standards the various denominations have?
