Was at the Madison, WI rally. Huge crowd. Estimates have it at over 5,000. Of course the media was there before the party actually started and reported only several hundred were there. There was a staging area with shuttles about 5 miles away, but there were no where near enough buses to get everyone there on time. People started walking so there was a long line of people marching to the capitol. Great guest speakers and a loud and energized crowd. The picture earlier of the Madison crowd probably only shows about a 1/3 of the actual size.
No WONDER my knees are hurting tonight!
Fantastic time today in Mad-town. My personal highlight was a conversation with an elderly WWII vet on the bus ride back to Milwaukee. What an honor to listen to the wisdom of an American hero! I hope to grow up with half his energy and sensibility! (I'm 57)
