Would a woman ambassador to the Vatican be appropriate, or would they have problems with that?
The current one is Mary Ann Glendon and Corinne Boggs served for four years. So I don't think there's a problem.
IMHO, the problem arises with Obama picking a pro abortion, anti marriage, Dem catholic to represent America. This would be like Obama insisting the Vatican recognize the non Catholic, catholics. A quick click on my name will get mucho opinion on what I think about that just in the last couple of months.
This continues to go back to the threads I have posted on here at FR about the pope, a cardinal, bishop or just anybody that cares, opine that Kennedy, Biden, Pelosi, Kerry and any one of about 2 dozen more high profile politico's that claim to be catholic should be chastised in some way by the Church. This cannot stand, and will fester to a boil, if allowed to continue. Also, IMHO, It's going to happen soon with the death of Teddy. I believe the fawning of the church over the life and times of Teddy Kennedy's thumbing of his nose at the church dogma will cause a schism of some sort. If it doesn't, I give up.
