Did the DHS report say anything about people being bitter, clinging to their guns and religion?
We all know where this is coming from. What concerns me is where it is going. Remember, this is the Department of Homeland Security, established after 9/11 to fight terrorism. And now they’re trying to turn it on the bitter clinging Americans.
Many on here knew that this and the Patriot Act was going be used against us.

When Bush et al proposed the DHS, with it’s sweeping powers and co-ordinated response networks, my first thought was “how will this monster be used by a democrat president”. Now we know!
I'll say it again for those who may have missed it over the last few years:
Liberals telegraph their intents. When they cried Bush was Hitler...we needed to be wary of their warning. When they cried about the Patriot Act and its invasive powers, we didn't listen. You see what they tried to accuse the Bush Administration of was what they feared amongst themselves. Under responsible leadership abuses are kept to a minimum. Will some occur, sure. Now we see what they were fearing, but it comes from inside their own party.
They telegraph and project that which they find abhorrent. Yet, where they are seeing it is within themselves. I know their is a psychological reason for this and one that comes from being raised in a ‘socialized’ culture.
When they scream and cry with the worst epithets against our country, we should stop and examine even closer what they are saying. Not because we think they are nuts and wacko, but because they are telegraphing their deepest truths.
They feared Bush would abuse these powers, but they are blinded to 0bama still. It is still too early in this journey for them to see the path takes them to what they fear. They still think their dissent is Patriotic and 0bama is the President of dissenters.
I think we all know where it's going - the commies in Washington are trying to marginalize those not embracing their internal revolution. They're trying to make the quantity of disgruntled appear small, and are trying to demonize us in order to sway public opinion. Their minions in the media will do the dirty deed of classifying people as "right-wing extremists" on an individual basis. Then the DHS thugs will do the dirty deed seemingly unencumbered.
But what the tea parties will show is that the number is large, and the anger is enormous. They are poking a large gang of angry pitbulls with their stick, but they don't realize that they've inadvertently unlatched the door to the cage.

W did such a good job a shutting down terrorists, DHS now needs more work.
Many of us have been saying this was going to happen since they first started talking about "homeland security" - such a lovely teutonic term. I have to wonder what was wrong with the original idea of "Civil Defense", other than the fact that it didn't expand federal power.
I hope not.
