No, we conquered the texting issue after a few months of tug-o-war. But it always take a billing cycle and another half month to discover what happened 45 days earlier. This article sounds like in only happened for one billing cycle too.

I have an AT&T cell phone, and they make all activities, up to three days ago, available to the account owner on a Web page. I just went there to check, and indeed it says:

Current usage displayed as of:
04/09/2009, 08:20 PM.
The summary may not include usage within the last 72 hours.

This way a parent can always keep an eye on what's happening. Not that it matters in my case, it's my phone and I have texting and Web disabled on it from day 0.

Phone plans hold our credit scores hostage, are over-priced and a pain the rear end. A good prepaid service is T-Mobile. $ 50 is good for 500 minutes and lasts a year before needing a refill. No child of mine is worth a damaged credit rating and the angst of 'ios that bill paid this month yet or not?"

We don't use credit cards to pay bills and are out of debt.
