Members of the CBC praised and heaped plaudits upon Fidel Castro and his regime in terms which ranged from likening him to a "family member" to the right of Cuba to its rightful place among the family of nations.

Ignorance or stupidity, though doubtless a factor, cannot alone explain the disgraceful behaviour of these black Democrats. The plain fact is that they're documented sympathizers and fellow travellers with an array of extreme Left and Marxist groups. A few words from the Black Book of Communism: "On 8 January, 1959 Castro and Che Guevara (a murderous sociopath who had recently shot a child in his guerilla pack for stealing a little food) made a triumphant entry into Havanna. As soon as they had seized power, they began to conduct mass executions. The totalitarian nature of the regime was apparent from the beginning. All fundamental civil and human rights were violently suppressed. Castro in 1976 imposed a constitution modeled on that of the U.S.S.R. Radical agricultural "reform" took place under the control of a group of orthodox Marxists. All people -workers, laborers, intellectuals, political parties, and the professional and business classes were persecuted, even tortured, arbitrarily and capriciously by a thoroughly dictatorial and tyrannical regime. This situation has not changed after nearly four decades."

"Disgraceful" is the word for it, if not despicable. One could pretty much regard the CBC as an adjunct of the Castro government.

Apparently they were visiting a center dedicated to Martin Luther King when they were invited to see Castro. They should have said thanks, but no thanks.

It boggles the imagination. In 1959 Martin L King was trying to create freedom. Castro and company were in the act of destruction of freedom.

I can't help but think there are people in our leadership that wouldn't welcome firing squads in America. Call me paranoid if you wish.

You guys are absolutely correct. King would be rolling over in his grave if he knew what these morons were supporting. King stood for non-violent protest and the ideals of our Declaration and Constitution assuring liberty and justice for all - not the subversive Communist, Marxist, and socialistic crap these idiots are spouting!

All one need do is look at their voting records and their past associations and activities. One of the men was called “red” Dellams because he was so far to the extreme left. I’m not talkng about your garden variety liberal but real socialists and far-leftists.

The man you refer to (Red Dellums) is Ron Dellums, the present mayor of Oakland, and also a former National Security Advisor to Bill Clinton. You are right about his extreme leftism too. He (and the CBC) are ideologically consonant with the likes of Castro. The CBC would be much more aptly be named The Congressional Red Cell. They are not honorable, or even decent. They are vile.
