I was on my JROTC rifle team in high school. We used .22’s and several times I was left alone on the range with 30+ rifles and thousands of rounds of ammo. It NEVER crossed my mind to do harm to anyone at anytime with those weapons. The difference in my country in just 20 years is heartbreaking.

Look at the difference between their stances on this issue and sex. On gun issue they are total prohibitionists where it has been shown that proper education and training reduces the incidents of gun related death and injury.

With the other issue they advocate “education and non judgment”. Yet all evidence has shown that approach as led to massive rates of out of wedlock births, and an STD level that could be call epidemic.

By the way, I’m a social studies teacher. Just what the *&^%& is a “social justice” class.

The teens are part of a group called the Education Not Arms Coalition, which opposes marksmanship programs because its members believe allowing students any access to guns on campuses contradicts zero-tolerance policies.

An alternate, and far more sensible solution to that contradiction would be to eliminate the zero tolerance intelligence polices.

Silly political activists imposing their beliefs onto everyone else. Sadly, persons engaged in the practice and discipline of competition shooting sports of any kind are never going to be engaged in street shootings. Imposing their paranoid fear driven banishment of the shooting team will do nothing to make them even marginally safer, it just reinforces the liberal dogma of more government control over every aspect of our lives. If there was any sort of real “social justice”, someone would smack them and their parents. Zero tolerance means zero intelligence.
