We can know that Obama's people did not get final edit on this article, because if they did it would have said the President enjoyed the NCAA women's tournament just as much as the men's.

I’ll bet al-Jazeera gets a lot of airplay as well.

We usually tell him how we think he did, said longtime friend Valerie Jarrett. Make that longtime handler.

Golly gee whiz! That Great Leader, HE sure is just like a regular guy - except for being the supra-intelligent savior of the earth thing, I mean.

Why would the world’s most sophisticated, intelligent, uber-cool and articulate leader spend ANY time with the idiot box? It turns your brain to mush.
And why isn’t he working?!
To: presidio9
He, just like a lot of kids like those shows.

His tv character choices are fast-talking gay con-men who steal from some to give to others. Says a lot.

Jon Stewarts smackdown of CNBCs Jim Cramer? Obama was eager to see it. But when it comes to the real news, and not the fake kind, Obama takes a pass rarely ever tuning into 24-hour cable chatter or replays of his own performances. We usually tell him how we think he did, said longtime friend Valerie Jarrett. Remember when the press took President Bush to task because he didn't bother with their outdated DNC press releases packaged as unused fishwrap?

Robert Thompson, a professor of pop culture at Syracuse University. Anything Obama does is cool by definition. Hes the Internet president, hes the BlackBerry president, and now, I suppose, he could be called the HBO president. Obama likes Entourage so much he even rearranged his campaign schedule not to miss an episode.
It's called tivo, look into it. The job of running the executive branch of the government comes first.

I think we can all agree that if an article had been written about President Bush with these exact same facts (amount of TV watched; preference for sports and sitcoms over the news; etc.), the press would be having a fit over what a dunce it showed him to be.

Does the former CEO of GM even watch TV? That would say more about Wagoner than the current GM “CEO”.

a fast-talking agent named Ari, based on the real-life brother of Obamas chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel. I hadn't heard that before. Is it true? If so, I like Ari a lot less.
